Normandie by Franco Belge
Pretty, isn't it?. These came in to the US many years ago and we began to sell them in the PNW and Alaska. There were other styles then but we are sold out of them. These are no longer being imported. All we have left are these Normandies with this porcelainized finish. Obviously, this one is sky blue. I have some in green and brown. They burn stove oil, No. 1 diesel and No.2 diesel depending upon the fuel. They will work with a 5" chimney but I have been told that they work even better with a 4". That is why we began stocking the 4" Energy Vent (Selkirk) products. They heat with convection and radiant heat. There is not a fan or fuel pump to power up. The fuel, located in a tank outside, will flow by gravity to the stove metered by its regulator. There are controls to govern the fuel input and consequent output. Draft is critical with approximately -.06 in. w.c. required for adequate air flow to feed the fire. It is best to leave the installation to professionals experienced in air flow and proper fuel line installation. The Napoleon stoves are similar being that Franco Belge did the casting for them. Thompson Sales purchased the stock from a distributor to support the Napoleon dealer. There are some black stoves along with a few brown enamel stoves in stock.. I think these are the last in the country.
